Eurogamer and Digital Foundry examined the next generation version of the Hitman 3 game, which was released the day before, in terms of performance. This new game is quite stable on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 console, and can run at 60 FPS. This is good news; Older versions of the game can be played at 30 FPS. The bad news comes to the owners of the PlayStation 5 console. According to the analysis of the Eurogamer and Digital Foundry teams, the game runs in 4K / 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X console, but the same game can be played at 1800p / 60 FPS on the PlayStation 5.
The only difference between the two consoles of the Hitman 3 game is not the resolution.
According to the researches, the Xbox Series X version of the Hitman 3 game runs at native 4K resolution and 60 FPS. The PlayStation 5 is unfortunately unable to achieve this value in terms of resolution and also shows a lower success in shadows. Once again, according to the information provided by Eurogamer and Digital Foundry, the shadow resolution of the mentioned game is higher on the Xbox Series X console. We don’t know the exact numbers, but the people who analyzed it were not very happy about the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Still, there was one point where the PlayStation 5 console stood out.
Eurogamer and Digital Foundry also perform stress tests during performance reviews, and it is stated that the Xbox Series X console is more difficult when the game is full, and therefore performance decreases. In these stressful moments, the PlayStation 5 console is less affected and the performance drops are less obvious. Of course, the reason for this may be that the game is running at native 4K resolution on the Xbox Series X side. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S console also manages to run Hitman 3 at 1080p / 60 FPS. In stressful moments, this console can also have problems.
